All Sites Pro website editors may attend our user training sessions, free of charge.

We offer two virtual training sessions for different types of site users. Some users may need both trainings, while others may only need one. Each session will be offered once a month.

Site Admin Training

  • Who should attend: Website owners and power users with the Site Administrator role – anyone who will perform overall site management tasks, such as managing navigation menus, taxonomies, and user accounts
  • Location: Virtual
  • Duration: 1 hour

Content Editor Training

  • Who should attend: All users – website owners, power users, content creators and editors
  • Location: Virtual
  • Duration: 1 hour

To Prepare for Your Session

  1. Make sure you can access Zoom without any audio or video issues
  2. Join the Duke network or VPN
  3. Confirm you have access to your Sites@Duke Pro staging site, with the appropriate user account permissions (ask your site admins/owners if you aren't sure!)
  4. Feel free to review the User Guide – but this is not required

After Your Training

After completing your training sessions, here are the next steps to set up your new site:

  1. Make sure to take advantage of your included User Experience Consultation, if you haven't already.
  2. Prepare your content and build out your website pages. If you need help, there are several ways you can reach us.
    • If you have contracted with our team for custom automated migration assistance, please check with us before manually updating any content.
  3. Once your content is complete, review our launch checklist and then submit your launch request.
